A contractor building a house in Staffordshire needed a laydown area for vehicles and materials through the winter. TrackMatz delivered and installed 100 TM120 heavy-duty mats across the grass paddock beside the site.

Vehicles and materials. Through a UK winter.
The contractor is building a house and needed a laydown area for vehicles and materials over the winter. The space available was the grass paddock beside the site. Left unprotected, grass turns to mud quickly under wet-weather traffic.
Brick packs and timber are stored at the front of the area, with contractor vehicles using the middle.
The first enquiry was for 1,500m². Once the site had been talked through, the matted area was set at 25m by 30m, about 750m². The caravans at the rear of the paddock were left off the matting.
A site visit before delivery found that an articulated lorry could not get into the site. The delivery was planned around a rigid lorry and a van with a trailer running shuttle loads instead.

Site access matters as much as the mats. On this job a site visit showed an articulated lorry could not get in, so the delivery was planned around smaller vehicles before anything was booked.
