Cookie policy.
Last updated: 16 July 2026
TrackMatz uses essential website technologies and, where permitted by your choice, Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement. Analytics and advertising storage must remain off unless the applicable consent or objection requirements have been met. You can change your choice without losing access to the website.
1. What this policy covers
This policy explains how trackmatz.co.uk uses cookies and similar storage or access technologies. A cookie is a small text file stored on a computer, phone or other device. Similar technologies include browser storage, tags and scripts that store information on, or read information from, a device.
Track Matz Limited, trading as TrackMatz, is responsible for the website. Company number 15644756. Questions can be sent to enquiries@trackmatz.co.uk.
2. Your choices
Essential technologies may operate because they are needed to provide a service you request, maintain security or remember your privacy choice. Analytics and advertising technologies should operate only where the applicable UK electronic communications and data protection requirements have been met.
The site must provide a clear way to accept or reject non-essential purposes and to revisit that choice. Rejecting analytics or advertising storage must not prevent you from using the website, TrackSpec or an enquiry form.
3. Technology categories
| Category | Purpose | Choice |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Website delivery, security and remembering privacy choices. | Used only where necessary. These cannot always be switched off through the site. |
| Analytics | Understanding visits, pages, referral sources and interactions so the website can be improved. | Subject to your consent or a valid statistical-purpose exception with clear information and a simple objection route. |
| Advertising measurement | Understanding whether a Google advertisement contributed to an enquiry or other agreed conversion event. | Requires consent. It must not be enabled merely because analytics is accepted. |
4. Google Analytics
Google Analytics 4 is deployed through Google Tag Manager to measure website usage and interactions such as page views, TrackSpec activity, calls, WhatsApp routes and enquiry actions. Google states that its standard first-party Analytics cookies include:
| Typical name | Purpose | Google default |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Distinguishes users for Analytics measurement. | Up to two years, subject to browser limits and configuration. |
_ga_ | Persists session state for the relevant Analytics property. | Up to two years, subject to browser limits and configuration. |
Google Tag Manager is a tag-management system. The tags configured through it determine whether cookies or other requests are used. The website launch audit must confirm the published container, destinations, consent defaults and retention settings.
5. Google Ads measurement
Where advertising measurement is accepted, Google technologies may use first-party identifiers with names beginning _gcl_, and may read advertising identifiers associated with a Google ad click. Their names and duration depend on the published Google configuration and browser controls.
Advertising measurement is used to understand campaign performance. TrackMatz must not use an advertising consent choice to claim that a visitor agreed to unrelated marketing communications.
6. Consent Mode and cookieless requests
If Google Consent Mode is enabled, denying storage can prevent Analytics and advertising cookies from being written or read. Google states that limited cookieless measurement requests may still be sent for modelling. These requests can include technical information such as browser, screen and page details. The launch audit must verify the actual consent-mode configuration and ensure the policy matches it.
7. Forms, TrackSpec and external links
Submitting a website form or asking for a TrackSpec result sends the information you choose to provide to the services described in our Privacy Policy. That submission is not itself a cookie choice.
TrackMatz uses Klaviyo to process website-enquiry events and requested TrackSpec result emails. Klaviyo may use browser storage when its technology is loaded. The launch audit must record the identifiers and durations actually present and ensure any non-essential Klaviyo storage follows the website's consent controls.
Following a telephone, email, WhatsApp or third-party link can take you to another service with its own cookies, privacy choices and terms. TrackMatz does not control storage set on another organisation's website.
8. Changing or withdrawing your choice
Use the website's cookie settings control to revisit your choices. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser. Deleting the cookie that remembers your choice may cause the site to ask again.
You can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Google also provides advertising controls through My Ad Center. Browser or Google controls operate separately from the TrackMatz website choice.
9. Changes and contact
Technology names, providers and durations can change when the website or tag configuration changes. We will update this policy when a material change is made and will request a fresh choice where required.
Questions about this policy can be sent to enquiries@trackmatz.co.uk. See the Privacy Policy for broader information about personal data and rights.
