Temporary car park matting hire. Planned for your ground and traffic.

Temporary matting for event, overflow and field parking. We assess the ground, vehicle mix, traffic movements and layout before recommending a system and quantity for UK mainland projects.

THE PROJECT

Plan soft-ground parking before traffic arrives.

Grass and soft-ground parking can become rutted after sustained rain and repeated vehicle movements. The risk depends on the soil, drainage, gradient, weather, vehicle mix, traffic volume and how vehicles turn, brake and queue.

Temporary car park matting can spread wheel loads and provide a defined running surface. Performance still depends on the ground and the selected system, so we assess the route, parking zones and expected traffic before recommending the mat class and extent.

Photographs, a site plan and vehicle information help with the initial review. The CBR guide explains how ground evidence changes the decision. A survey, ground evidence or project-specific controls may also be required, particularly at entrances, turns, gradients, pedestrian crossings and interfaces with the public highway. If parking forms part of a wider event plan, see event matting hire.

HOW IT RUNS

Assess, plan, deliver and recover.

Tell us the dates, location, expected vehicles, traffic movements and ground conditions. We may request photographs, a site plan, ground evidence or a survey before recommending the mat class and layout. UK mainland delivery, installation and dry-hire options are subject to availability, access and the agreed project plan. After the hire, recovery and any ground reinstatement requirements depend on site conditions and use. See how a hire runs and review relevant case studies.

SITE LAYOUT PLANNING

See the layout trade-offs before committing.

The same field can be protected in different ways. These concept layouts show how mat coverage, exposed ground, pedestrian routing and turning space can change. They are visual starting points, not final traffic-management or emergency-access plans.

A

Access lanes

Defined driving aisles with cars parked on the existing ground.

Access lane concept Orange matting forms an entrance spine and four access aisles while grey cars park on exposed green ground. INOUT
Lower mat quantity

More ground remains exposed, so suitability depends heavily on conditions, traffic control and recovery planning.

C

Broader vehicle-zone coverage

Near-continuous coverage across the planned parking footprint.

Broader vehicle-zone concept A broad orange matted vehicle zone contains rows of grey cars, with a separate teal pedestrian route and a clear dashed emergency corridor. INOUT
Broader coverage

Uses more matting but reduces the amount of vehicle movement taking place directly on the existing surface.

PROJECT IMAGES

Installed car parks. Real conditions.

TM50 is a common option for assessed vehicle zones, while TM10 can provide defined pedestrian routes. TM120 may be used at higher-load interfaces or feeder routes where the project assessment supports it. Final selection depends on the ground, vehicles, duration and traffic plan.

SEND THE PROJECT OVER

Tell us about the project.

Send the location, dates, ground conditions and expected vehicles to the hire team for review. If you have photographs or a site plan, send them by email or WhatsApp after submitting the form.
