Temporary event matting for a children's play arena.
An international horse trials event needed a clearly defined pedestrian surface on hard, stony gravel. TrackMatz supplied and installed 200 interlocking TM10 panels, creating approximately 192 square metres of temporary event flooring.
A public-facing play area needed a defined temporary surface.
The children's play arena was planned on a gravelly area close to the main event activity. Leaving the original surface exposed would not have provided the defined temporary flooring required for the play area.
The project also had to fit around a live equine venue. Vehicle access, horsebox movements, the nearby car park and the event programme all had to be considered before installation.

TrackMatz delivered the 200 panels and installed the complete surface on 10 August 2026. A measuring wheel set out the planned footprint before the panels were connected in a 25 by 8 arrangement.

TM10 was selected because this area was for people and children's activities. The recycled rubber panels connect to create a continuous temporary surface and can be installed by hand without heavy installation plant in the arena itself.
The application was limited to pedestrians and the children's play area. It was not designed or presented as a vehicle route. That distinction kept the product choice tied to the actual event use.

The photographs show the installed TM10 surface ahead of the main public use on 15 and 16 August. The panels created a connected temporary surface and worked with the hay bale boundary used to define the space.
